FanshaweOnline (FOL) is the College's Learning Management System, powered by Desire2Learn (D2L). It includes an email feature specifically designed for communication between professors and students within courses.

The FOL Email system lacks features commonly found in full-service email platforms, such as out-of-office replies, advanced formatting, filtering options, mass email capability, message recall, and mobile compatibility (students cannot receive FOL emails on their phones).

Even with its limitations, there are some widely used features in the FOL Email system. Professors can email their entire class, groups, or individual students directly from the FOL classlist, assignment submissions, gradebook, etc. These messages can be sent without leaving the FOL learning environment or manually typing in recipient email addresses, making course communications convenient.
